Business Issue

Company B has a particularly complex supply chain with parts being manufactured both in Japan and China for delivery to Europe. One of the key problems the company faced was the long delivery time for the goods ordered making the management of real time stock levels difficult.

To overcome this problem Company B made the decision to create a central warehousing facility based in Europe which also included an assembly plant for parts shipped. A key requirement of this new facility was a solution which would deliver a central control point that provided visibility, control and overall management of the stock ordering process.

BFS consultants spent time with the customer staff in an envisioning and scoping workshop to determine the key goals and criteria for the Blue Stock system. From this BFS were able to tailor the Blue Stock application to meet the exact requirements of the customers specification.
