ワークフローアプリケーションをホストする出だしとして開発されたこのプロジェクトは、テスト済みのOSSとワークフローモジュールを駆使して開発されています。
ワークフローはXMLファイルにエキスポートされる前のウェブブラウザベースのインターフェイスを使用し、迅速にまた簡単に開発されました。またプロジェクトの一部として、ブルーファウンテンは他のシステムからの簡単に統合するSQLデータベースに、データとワークフローのステータスが記録出来るモジュールも組み込んでいます。

The project was to develop a portal to host the workflow applications, which are being developed with an OSS tried and tested workflow module. Workflows were developed quickly and easily through the web browser based interface before being exported as XML files. As part of the project Blue Fountain developed a module to store data and workflow status in an SQL database, to allow for easier integration with feeds from other systems. The module builds on top of SQLAlchemy, a database abstraction layer, and allows for complete versioning of content and workflow histories, so a complete audit trail is always available. The system replaced a Singularity workflow solution which was found to be inflexible.
