BFS have delivered a state of the art web based stock management system for Yamatake Europe. The decision by Yamatake Europe to implement a web based system was prompted by the long lead time for delivery of ordered goods from Japan. A main feature of the new system, written in Zope and PostgreSQL, is its ability to automatically calculate stock levels and order amounts for 3 months in advance based on shipping information from Japan and on the 12 months sales forecast from clients.
BFS launch BLUE STOCK - a web based virtual warehousing system
BFS are please to announce the launch of Blue Stock their new warehousing and stock management application. The system, which is web based, provides a series of tools designed to take the pressure out of stock control enabling logistics managers and MRP planners access to understand stock situations and plan for future needs. The system can be seamlessly integrated into existing accounting based and/or SAP installations and without modification elements of the system can be opened to suppliers and customers to allow seamless sharing of data.

Blue Fountain have implemented their second business critical sequence system this time for Futaba Industrial UK Ltd. The system will manage the instructions for the robot controlled weld cell operations for a large Japanese car manufacturer based in the East Midlands.
BFS secures place on FP6 R&D Project Team
Blue Fountain are part of a successful consortium to win an FP6 research and development project. The project “Nanospad” brings together a range of universities, research institutes and private companies from across Europe to research and develop a miniaturized diagnostic tool for use in the identification and treatment of allergies. BFS have the key responsibility for developing the software interface for the system together with the management and dissemination of all data produced.
